PRIZES: Partial scholarships worth $2,500

RULES & REGULATIONS:

• To qualify, contestants must be high school graduates or GED recipients prior to enrollment year at Specs Howard School. Students who are currently enrolled at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts are not eligible for the competition.
  

• Candidates must take an aptitude test known as the CPAT exam on the campus of Specs Howard School on specified dates. Late testers will not be permitted. Seating is limited.
  

• Winners will be selected based on top test scores. Number to be determined by seats available in specific classes.
  

• Scholarship recipients may request their choice of afternoon class or evening class. However, Specs Howard reserves the right to place scholarship recipients in specific classes, subject to availability, most likely our spring afternoon or night class. (Afternoon classes meet M-F from 1:15pm-5:45pm and night classes meet M-F from 6:00pm-10:30pm.)
  

• Recipients must receive written documentation from SHS acknowledging scholarship approval.
  

• Upon being awarded a scholarship, the recipient must contact the school within 30 days for redemption of the scholarship.
  

• Scholarships are conditional upon winners meeting all SHS entry requirements and prerequisites and recipients are subject to all policies, as published in the Specs Howard School catalog.
  

• Scholarships are non-transferable and has no cash value.
  

• Winners must complete the course in order to receive the scholarships.
  

• Scholarships may not be combined with any other scholarships sponsored by Specs Howard School.
  

• Scholarships do not include housing.
  

• Recipients of scholarships must have their financial aid calculated for grant eligibility and other scholarships or outside funding. Grants, other scholarships and outside scholarships will be applied to tuition first. If the remaining balance is less than the amount of the scholarship, the scholarship will be reduced to the amount of the remaining balance.
  

• All scholarship recipients must sign a document acknowledging these conditions.
  

• Other restrictions may apply to individual scholarships.
