PRIZES: Partial scholarships worth $2,500 for specific classes only.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Scholarship is available only to graduating seniors of SHS-approved high schools who have taken the designated radio or video classes. The list of approved high schools may be obtained from the SHS Director of Admissions.
- Candidates must tbe recommended for the scholarship by a radio or video instructor from an approved high school. Recommendation forms may be obtained from approved high schools or from the SHS Director of Admissions.
- Recipients must enroll in a designated class in order for the scholarship to remain valid.
- Recipients must receive written documentation from SHS acknowledging scholarship approval.
- Upon being awarded a scholarship, the recipient must contact the school within 30 days for redemption of the scholarship.
- Scholarships are conditional upon winners meeting all SHS entry requirements and prerequisites and recipients are subject to all policies, as published in the Specs Howard School catalog.
- Scholarships are not transferable and has no cash value.
- Winners must complete the course in order to receive the scholarships.
- Scholarships may not be combined with any other scholarships sponsored by Specs Howard School unless the student enrolls in the 12-month program. Under these circumstances, the $1,000 Imagine America Scholarship may be applied. Scholarships do not include housing.
- Recipients of scholarships must have their financial aid calculated for grant eligibility and other scholarships or outside funding. Grants, other scholarships and outside scholarships will be applied to tuition first. If the remaining balance is less than the amount of the scholarship, the scholarship will be reduced to the amount of the remaining balance.
- Specs Howard will make every effort to award scholarships evenly among approved high schools. However, the number of scholarships awarded each year is limited. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-server basis.
- All scholarship recipients and/or parent/guardian must sign a document acknowledging these conditions.
- Other restrictions may apply to individual scholarships.
