Celebrating 43 Years!

It all began on January 14 in 1970 with radio pioneer, Specs Howard, when he began the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.  Since then the school’s Broadcast Media Arts, Graphic Design, and Digital Media Arts programs have trained over 15,000 people for successful media careers.  Today, our graduates work all over the world in virtually every aspect of the broadcast, communications and media industries.

In 2013, we celebrate the success of our graduates from the past 43 years and look to the future as we continue to train individuals for the various media industries.

Rochester College Articulation Agreement

Rochester College & Specs Howard School are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their educational partnership with the announcement of a renewed articulation agreement!

Previously Specs Howard School graduates were able to transfer up to 24 credits to Rochester College’s Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication degree program.  Under the new agreement, graduates of the Broadcast Media Arts, Graphic Design, and Digital Media Arts programs will be able to transfer up to 33 credit hours.

Graphic designers find beauty within limitations, working towards the ultimate goal of visually communicating a message, be it the packaging of a product, the spirit of a book, or the narrative of a building.
