Job Description: Traveling to high schools, I lead conversations with
students who are interested in broadcast related careers. Plus, I
facilitate the high school scholarship program, which awards four
scholarships every year to high school seniors. And, I host the
Teacher/Counselor Breakfast, Job Shadows and Group Tours.
Education: I'm an alumni of Specs Howard and Rochester College - where I earned my Bachelors in Mass Communications.
Current industry contributions: Weekend Personality at 96.3 WDVD & Promotions Assistant at 93.1 DOUG-FM.
Past experience: On-Air Personality at Star 105.5 in Toledo.
What is the best advice you can give someone who is hoping to one day go into broadcasting? Constantly practice your talent!
What would people be surprised to know about you? I don't eat chocolate.
Favorite local newscast: Usually I watch Channel 7 in the evening and Channel 4 at night.
What do you watch when you turn on the TV? My TIVO catches- Lost & The Office. Plus a lot reality shows.
What do you think is the coolest job behind the scenes? Writer.
Favorite TV commercial: It's a tie between Hyundai's Think About It Campaign and iPod Commercials.
Do you have a favorite radio station? Whichever one has a good conversation. I like talk radio.
What do you enjoy most about working at Specs? The people! There's never a dull moment around here.
Favorite place: My best friends live all across the country... NYC, Orlando, Phoenix... being with them makes the places my favorites. (Wow, that sounds
cheesy... now you can awe...)
Subjects that interest you: Politics & Pop Culture.
Favorite movies: Crash, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, & Zoolander.
