Current industry contributions: My fascinating and informative newscasts and stories as an anchor/reporter at News/Talk 760AM WJR Detroit. I’ve also filled-in as producer for WJR’s “The Big Story” news show.
Past industry experiences: Promotions intern at former Ted Nugent station, 102.7FM “The Bear” WWBR Detroit. Driving the Nugent van was fun! Newsroom intern at WJR. I’m proof that you get your first job at a major market radio station with the right attitude.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Communication from Oakland University. Specs may not have been where I started, but it’s an excellent place to start nonetheless!

Why do you turn on the radio? For all the latest news and information and to rock out!
Favorite local TV newscast: Channel 7 “Action News“ WXYZ Detroit.
What do you watch when you turn on the TV? Reality TV garbage, VH1, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Nancy Grace, Anderson Cooper.
How far should someone go to get a story? As far as you can possibly go without trampling on others rights.
Most Memorable Interviews: Reverend Moon, Jackie Mason, Aretha Franklin, Geoffrey Feiger, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, “average Joe“.
Who would you most like to interview? Oprah!
Proudest moment(s) in the industry? A thank you from the mother of a missing little girl who was found after a day long AMBER alert. I covered the story from start to finish. It was very rewarding. I’m also proud to be able to give everyday people “a voice”.
What do you consider your most important role at the school? Relating lessons to the “real world” of broadcasting.
What do all successful grads seem to have in common? Flexibility, Realism, A layer of thick, yet absorbent, skin. The willingness to work for free.
