SUE KINNEY
Instructor

What do you do at Specs Howard?
I teach fourth marking period Radio so I help students fine tune their on-air presence and their board work skills. I also help them with news writing and production work. I push my students hard ... because I have confidence they have the ability to get the job done!
Past experience: Nearly two years WHMI 93.5 FM in Howell, MI (news reporter/broadcaster ... co-producer of weekly public affairs program, Viewpoint). About 18 months at WTRC 1340 AM in Elkhart, IN (news reporter and broadcaster)
Current contributions outside Specs: I work part time for Metro Networks. You can hear me providing traffic reports on WJR Sunday afternoons from noon until 5 PM.
Education: Specs Howard Grad (1999). Currently attending Rochester College for a bachelors degree in Mass Communications.
Likes: Hanging out with friends and family
Dislikes: Cocky people
Favorite place: Home
One thing you'd like to learn: I would love to learn different dance styles like swing and salsa. Dancing is so much fun and it's a great way to exercise, too!
Subjects that interest you: All things are interesting if told by the right person.
Favorite writer: Dean Koontz/Stephen King
Favorite director: Spielberg
Favorite movie: one of them is My Cousin Vinnie
Places traveled: born in Korea, lived in Germany ... Indiana ... Hawaii (for a very short time). (My dad was in the service)
Special talents/skills/hobbies: I don't know if I'm talented at it, but I like to sing. I am definitely a karaoke freak! I love singing crazy songs in front of a bunch of people I may never know.
Things people associate with you: I am known for speaking my mind (and the limits that I push when doing so!)
