Specs Howard acknowledges the extraordinary talent of the people who created this website:
The Designers & Developers:
Forest Post
As a full-service post-production facility specializing in providing quality standard and high-definition post production development, Forest Post has branched out into new media, web design, DVD Authoring, and HD encoding. Their family atmosphere and team-oriented approach to this project made them the perfect fit for us at Specs.
The Space:
Russell Industrial Center
Home to over 125 commercial tenants from various creative backgrounds, the RIC is currently experiencing a revival as an art mecca and small business haven. Originally constructed over a ten-year period that began in 1915, the concrete and steel structure located at 1600 Clay St. in Detroit occupies 2.2 million square feet of space. In addition to housing artists and hosting exhibits, the RIC works with filmmakers and photographers and offered the perfect backdrop for shooting Specs Howard’s “Anything But Ordinary” career campaign.
The Photographer:
Karen Sas | Sasography
Sas is an artist and technical wizard when it comes to capturing a vibe and creating magic. She also has a way of bringing out the best in her subjects by making people feel comfortable and letting them know what to do in front of the camera. Her style, coupled with her approach, tact, enthusiasm and ability to put people at ease, makes Sas a favorite of ours at Specs Howard School. Not only do we love the pictures she took of our alumni, but the staff had a great time hamming it up in front of her camera.
The PR:
Tanner Friedman
Don Tanner and Kristen Priest think like journalists. Since they took Specs Howard School on as a client in 2009, you've seen us in the press a lot more. From our name change to Specs Howard School of Media Arts to Specs Howard's MAB Lifetime Achievement Award, we've been on TV and online, in print and in podcasts. You will find their press releases and links to their work (aka news stories) throughout this site.
